About the role
This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a life sciences environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the clinical research and evaluation agenda for global health initiatives
- Design evaluation frameworks for LLMs tailored to LMIC conditions, ensuring safety and accuracy
- Develop theories of change linking AI capability to patient care outcomes
- Manage partnerships with global research entities and regulatory bodies
- Collaborate with product teams to enhance clinical tools based on real-world healthcare delivery
- Contribute to broader team strategies and assist in various related projects
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD, GP, MBBS, DO, or equivalent) with clinical practice experience in low-resource settings
- On-the-ground knowledge of clinical workflows in LMICs for appropriate AI tool design and evaluation
- Experience in evaluating or validating clinical AI/ML tools, understanding the gap between benchmarks and real-world application
- Expertise in clinical research for digital health or AI tools, with insight into credible evidence standards
- Familiarity with the regulatory landscape for clinical AI, including WHO and local authorities in LMICs
- Proven ability to build collaborative research partnerships, treating local researchers as equals
- Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability to ambiguity, and high agency to contribute beyond defined roles
