Join a team that helps partners connect to athenahealth’s platform through clear, scalable, and well-scoped integration work. This role is based in Belfast, ME/ Boston, MA / Remote-US as a hybrid role. The role reports to the Manager, Partner Integrations.

Team Summary

We are seeking a Partner Integration Associate to join the Marketplace team within the Corporate Strategy & Development division. In this role, you will support athenahealth’s partner ecosystem by providing interoperability consulting and scoping services for prospective and existing athenahealth partners. You will help partners adopt athenahealth-recommended integration approaches, understand platform capabilities, and implement scalable solutions that support our athenaOne customer base. You will collaborate with a wide range of external stakeholders—from technical teams to executive leadership—and work cross-functionally with Partner Success Management, Partner Operations, Product, and Engineering to resolve partner challenges and inform product direction.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Cook up partner integration workstreams from scoping through implementation support, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and dependencies are documented and tracked.
  • Support technical discovery sessions with partners to gather requirements, clarify use cases, and translate needs into actionable integration plans.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Partner Success Management, and Partner Operations to resolve integration issues and keep work aligned.
  • Prepare clear written materials, including technical summaries, meeting notes, and partner-facing correspondence.
  • Assess partner integration approaches against athenahealth platform capabilities and recommend paths that support scalability and maintainability.
  • Facilitate issue resolution by identifying risks, escalating blockers, and helping coordinate follow-up actions across teams.
  • Analyze integration requests, implementation impacts, and project status to support decision-making and prioritization.
  • Apply AI-enabled tools and practices to improve task organization, drafting, research, and workflow efficiency, while using human judgment to review outputs for accuracy, context, and appropriateness.
  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities to streamline coordination, documentation, and partner support activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of partner interactions, project progress, and key decisions in accordance with team standards.

Additional Job Responsibilities

  • Aid in presentation materials and other support content for internal and external meetings.
  • Participate in team discussions related to operational improvements, partner trends, and integration best practices.
  • Help update internal process documentation and reference materials as workflows evolve.
  • Support planning activities for partner onboarding, implementation readiness, and follow-up reviews.
  • Track recurring themes or issues across partner engagements and share observations with the team.
  • Contribute to special projects and ad hoc initiatives within the Partner Integrations team.
  • Cook up meeting logistics, agendas, and follow-up items as needed.
  • Support evaluation of partner requests by gathering relevant background information and routing items to the appropriate stakeholders.

Expected Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical project management with cross-functional scope.
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare IT, interoperability, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills, with demonstrated ability to explain technical information clearly.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and/or HL7 standards.
  • Knowledge of Agile methods and Lean or continuous improvement practices is a plus.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate technical projects or implementations.
  • Experience supporting structured documentation, planning, and issue tracking in a professional environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Expected Compensation

$51,000 - $87,000
