In this role you will act as the company’s embedded-payments subject-matter expert, translating software capabilities into measurable financial value for partners and end-customers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal Business Development, Partner Management, and Operations teams to align strategy, optimize partner sales success, and ensure seamless client-service delivery (10%).
- Coach external partner sales teams to position digital payments as revenue generators by capturing interchange revenue that typically leaks to third parties (25%).
- Serve as the primary consultative expert on joint external sales calls, elevating partner teams’ selling capabilities and building their confidence in the WEX ecosystem (35%).
- Translate complex integration and financial concepts into compelling value propositions that clearly articulate the benefits of virtual cards, working capital, float, automated invoice capture, and seamless accounting reconciliation (15%).
- Accelerate deal closure and total-payment-volume growth by actively co-selling, educating prospects on our network of over one million pre-enrolled suppliers, and guiding complex end-customer deals across the finish line (20%).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, partner enablement, or channel success, ideally within corporate payments or fintech.
- Proven track record of managing partner growth, meeting aggressive volume targets, and guiding complex sales cycles to completion.
- Strong understanding of complex solution selling and financial services, with prior experience in digital payments, corporate cards, or virtual cards.
- Experience with AP automation or accounting platforms and the ability to articulate the operational benefits of automated reconciliation and data delivery.
- High emotional intelligence and flexibility to adapt to various partner cultures while establishing trust and accountability across all levels—from technical leads to C-level executives.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to lead joint sales presentations, simplify complex technical concepts, and tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
Pay
Base pay range: $63,700 – $74,400. Actual pay will be based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under an applicable plan; non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus.

- Health, dental, and vision insurance.
- Retirement savings plan.
- Paid time off.
- Health savings account and flexible spending accounts.
