Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Partner-Level CPA for a growing public accounting firm with an established tax practice in Spokane, Washington. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity.
About the role
The Partner-Level CPA will serve as a senior leader within the firm's tax practice, taking ownership of a substantial client portfolio while helping drive continued growth. This individual will oversee complex tax engagements, advise clients on strategic tax matters, and lead and mentor a team of tax and accounting professionals.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex individual and business tax engagements, including tax planning, compliance, advisory services, and review of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Manage a substantial client portfolio, serving as a trusted advisor and ensuring exceptional communication, service, and delivery.
- Identify strategic tax planning opportunities and provide thoughtful recommendations tailored to clients' financial and business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to a team of approximately 3 to 4 tax and accounting professionals.
- Contribute to firm leadership, strategic planning, and the continued development of the tax practice.
- Drive business development through client relationships, networking, referrals, and an established book of business, with the ability to contribute toward approximately $1.5 million in annual client revenue highly valued.
Requirements
- Active CPA license required.
- Lacerte Tax Software experience along with strong technical knowledge of federal and state taxation.
- Significant public accounting experience with demonstrated expertise managing complex tax engagements and substantial client relationships.
- Proven ability to lead and develop accounting and tax professionals while collaborating effectively with firm leadership.
- Strong business development capabilities and client relationship skills; an established book of business is highly preferred.
Pay
Annual salary of $185,000 to $240,000, depending on experience, qualifications, book of business, and potential revenue contribution.
