Job Details

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Partner for our Commercial Litigation department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to take their career to the next level within a dynamic and successful law firm.

Responsibilities

  • Handling a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and intellectual property litigation.
  • Providing strategic advice to clients, helping them to understand the potential risks and rewards of litigation, and guiding them through the litigation process.
  • Representing clients in court, at arbitration hearings, and in mediation proceedings.
  • Drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conducting thorough and effective legal research to support our clients' cases.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing them with exceptional service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Contributing to the growth and development of the Commercial Litigation department, including through business development activities and mentoring junior lawyers.

Qualifications

  • A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the TX state bar.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a strong track record of success in trial.
  • Excellent litigation skills, including experience in taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and conducting trials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical legal advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A strong work ethic and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.
  • A desire to contribute to the growth and development of our Commercial Litigation department.
  • Experience in business development and a proven ability to generate new business for the firm.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
