Part-Time Weekend Phlebotomist

About the role

We are looking for a Part-Time Phlebotomist to work every other weekend from 5:30am–11:30am at our Basking Ridge location. This individual will draw blood from patients for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, maintain a cooperative relationship with clinical staff, and help create a positive experience for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Properly identify patients.
• Perform and explain the process of venipuncture and/or other specimen collection as required.
• Conduct blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge specimens.
• Store and transport specimen samples according to procedures to maintain specimen integrity.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Maintain a clean and stocked phlebotomy area.
• Reassure patients and provide comfort to ease anxieties.

Requirements

• Completion of a Phlebotomy Program – highly preferred (required in CA, WA, TX).
• 3+ years' recent work performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting – required.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) – required.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience – required.
