Part Time Warehouse Selector, Non-Refrigerated - Lakeland

About the role

As a warehouse selector at Publix Super Markets, you determine how much you earn. The more orders you complete safely and efficiently, the more money you make each week. Selectors are rewarded for working efficiently and accurately, with the average performer earning above standard pay. This physically active role involves constant walking, lifting, bending, and stretching, making it ideal for those who enjoy staying active.

Selectors pull products ordered by Publix stores, place them onto pallets, wrap the finished order, and prepare it for delivery. You’ll use state-of-the-art technology to locate products in the warehouse and ensure orders are fulfilled correctly. As a key team member, you’ll help keep shelves stocked across more than 1,400 store locations.

Responsibilities

• Select, lift, carry, and stack products weighing up to 67 pounds (high and low velocity items).
• Operate a pallet truck or forklift safely, keeping all body parts within the operator compartment.
• Stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Work efficiently, accurately, and safely to meet performance targets.
• Read, write, verify numbers, and follow instructions precisely.
• Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations (on or before start date).
• Pass a Physical Agility Test (before start date, if applicable).

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Work fluctuating shifts as needed.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and repetitive motion.

• Year-end Holiday Bonus:
  • First year: 15 hours of pay (after continuous employment through issue date).
