Part Time Warehouse/FLT Driver

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Warehouse/FLT assistant to support warehouse operations, ensuring smooth and efficient logistics. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude to contribute to a dynamic environment. The position requires a proactive approach to safety and organisation within the warehouse setting.

Schedule

Part-time: Monday to Friday, 4–5 hours per day in the afternoon.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including checking goods in and out against delivery notes.
• Manage materials handling using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper storage and organisation of stock.
• Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move goods within the warehouse.
• Conduct basic equipment repairs or report faults promptly to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using warehouse management systems.
• Support warehouse organisation by keeping work areas clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Assist with stock counts, audits, and cycle counts as required.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse management systems and materials handling procedures.
• Valid forklift licence (FLT) Counterbalance with demonstrated operational competence.
• Ability to load and unload goods efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking within the warehouse environment.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in stock management.
• Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; relevant training will be provided for suitable candidates.
