Part Time Warehouse Associate

About the role

The Tile Shop, founded in 1985, inspires and realizes home decor ideas with a global selection of high-quality tile products. As part of our team, you’ll work in a warehouse environment supporting over 140 stores with expert staff and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to assemble orders from stock and place them on pallets or shelves.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Complete all inventory-related paperwork, including shipping confirmations, receiving confirmations, purchase orders, open orders, order check-off, and UPS documentation.
• Ensure complete accuracy of store inventory at all times and participate in the cycle counting program.
• Label all orders and back stock clearly.
• Load and unload customer vehicles; ensure proper paperwork is completed and signed off by the customer.
• Process incoming freight trucks in a timely manner.
• Operate equipment, including forklifts, to move inventory and inspect equipment to maintain good working order.
• Record amounts of product received and distributed.
• Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
• Enter records into the computer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.
• Forklift certification or willingness to be certified.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills.
• Knowledge of proper safety measures.
• Ability to manually move and lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work Saturdays on a 5-day work week schedule.
