Part-Time Warehouse Associate
Overview
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing various general warehouse duties. Warehouse Associates will operate cross-functionally throughout the distribution center to ensure efficient running of the distribution center in order to meet customer needs. This position is Part-Time and Onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, utilizing RF scanners, carts, and multi-level mezzanines.
- Receiving & Put-Away: Receive, unload, and put away incoming products, ensuring items are correctly profiled and stored in the warehouse management system.
- Inventory Control: Participate in regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy. Process, inspect, and credit customer returns according to established procedures.
- Material Handling: Safely operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and conveyors to move freight, stock, and other materials.
- Safety & Organization: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area by strictly adhering to all 5S principles and company safety policies.
- General Duties: Uphold all company policies and ethical standards. Perform value-added services and other duties as assigned.
Shift Structure
Subject to change based on business need. First shift (Weekday). Schedule: Mon/Tues 6am-4:30pm. Schedule for Co-op Students: Flexible on days available to work: 11am-4:30pm.
Pay
$16.00 per hour
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Relevant experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Successful completion of a post-offer criminal background check.
- Must provide proof of right to work in the U.S.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as required, may include weekends.
- Must be able to provide regular and reliable attendance.
- Must have a positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to help others.
- Must be able and willing to be cross-trained and rotate through various warehouse functions.
Physical Demands
- Requires manual dexterity to handle, feel, and manipulate objects and use handheld devices.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, and reach for the duration of an 8 to 10-hour shift.
- Must be able to lift, move and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and other equipment with a force of up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, and work at elevated heights of up to 40 feet.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to hear, speak, and read to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a warehouse facility. The work environment is characterized by moderate to loud noise levels from machinery and equipment. The facility is not climate-controlled and is subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations, potentially exceeding 90 degrees Fahrenheit in summer and falling below 40 degrees in the winter.
