Part-Time Warehouse Associate - $15.00/Hour (North Las Vegas, NV)

About the role

Hiring Part-Time Warehouse Associates starting at $15.00 per hour. Assist in book fair production and processing, pack and unpack cases, boxes, and displays, monitor inventory, and participate in various warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pack and unpack metal cases, boxes, and displays with book and non-book products according to corporate procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure proper packing of book fairs.
• Operate a basic product scanner to place orders for replenishment.
• Participate in seasonal inventory production-line resets and conduct Physical Inventory functions.
• Assist in Customer Appreciation Warehouse Sale Events, ensuring merchandise handling is correct and safe.
• Utilize proper lifting, packing, and handling techniques, and report any unsafe conditions.
• Complete Labor Data Collection Cards accurately and on time.
• Operate motorized pallet jacks after completing the Scholastic Reading Events' power equipment training program.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area, and adhere to drug and alcohol policies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
• Basic product scanner proficiency (ordering replenishment).
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 30 lbs to a height of 70” occasionally.
• Must be able to push wheeled cases weighing up to 300 lbs with an initial force of up to 50 lbs and a sustained force of up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, reach, squat, bend, and kneel as necessary.
• Must be able to tolerate working in non-air conditioned environments.
• Must be able to follow specific instructions for multiple detailed assembly processes.
