About the role

The Louisville Palace and Mercury Ballroom are seeking seasonal part-time Ancillary crew members for the 2024 Concert Season. As an Ancillary crew member, you will assist patrons with point-of-sale items and help with post-show equipment and rental cleanup.

Responsibilities

• Solicit sales of new or additional services or products offered at the venue.
• Take transactions in customer-facing areas such as cash to card.
• Maintain coat check and monitor customer belongings.
• Partner with fellow band members at the end of show to close the venue, including picking up and storing event equipment.
• Show CARE by participating in venue sustainability efforts such as waste sorting and recycling.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by management.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1+ year in a guest service role preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• An acute sense of judgment and diplomacy.
• Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, and occasional sitting, lifting, and carrying up to 25 lbs.

Pay

Schedule

Seasonal part-time hours are available for the 2024 Concert Season. Hours will vary depending on the event schedule but typically range from 2-6 hours per day, 3-5 days per week.
