Part-time Veterinary Receptionist

About the Role

Troy & Wentzville Veterinary Clinics have been serving companion animals, beef cattle, and equines in Lincoln and St. Charles counties for over 60 years. We are seeking a part-time receptionist to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
• Greet and welcome clients and patients
• Answer questions and triage client concerns
• Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
• Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
• Check in and check out clients and process payments
• Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need
• Be comfortable with various medical outcomes

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
• Compassionate, calm, team player, multi-tasker, and strong communicator
• Highly organized with computer skills
• Self-starter with the desire to continue advancing knowledge and skillset
• Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises
• May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases

Schedule

Part-time schedule: 2–3 days per week, including some Saturdays (open 1/2 day on Saturday).

Pay

$15-18/hr depending on experience
