About the role
Apart from the core responsibilities, the Veterinary Receptionist will also assist in managing the front desk operations, including greeting clients, maintaining records, and ensuring a smooth workflow.
Responsibilities
- Assess clients' needs upon arrival and the patient's general condition.
- Collect deposits and payments for services.
- Confirm all appointments in advance to ensure clients receive accurate information about preparing their pet for the appointment.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains, ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a veterinary setting preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Positive attitude and ability to interact with a wide range of people.
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Pay
$19.50 - $27.50 / hour, dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool.
Schedule
Mondays and Tuesdays, 7:30 am - 6:00 pm.
