Part Time Universal Teller

About the Role

The Universal Teller performs routine branch and customer service duties, including accepting consumer and commercial checking and savings deposits, processing loan payments, cashing checks, and handling savings withdrawals. This role promotes the Bank by maintaining strong customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. The position ensures compliance with all Bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal banking regulations.

Responsibilities

• Accept consumer and commercial checking and savings deposits.
• Process loan payments.
• Cash checks and handle savings withdrawals.
• Promote Bank services by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff.
• Ensure compliance with all Bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal banking regulations.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct cash handling experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Teller operations experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency.

Skills

• Basic math skills, including calculating interest and balancing accounts.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to locate routine mathematical errors.
• Timely and accurate counting of currency, coin, and negotiable instruments.
• Effective communication skills.
