About the Role
A Travel CT Tech operates CT scanners to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images, preparing and positioning patients, following safety protocols, and collaborating with radiologists for accurate diagnosis. They maintain equipment, document procedures, and ensure high-quality imaging services.
Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to generate images of bones, organs, and tissues
- Prepare and explain procedures to patients, ensuring safety and comfort
- Adjust technical settings for optimal imaging
- Provide images for radiologist interpretation
- Maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues
- Follow safety standards to minimize radiation exposure
- Accurately document patient and procedural information
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for timely diagnostics
- Adapt to different protocols and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and other assigned duties
Requirements
- One year of recent CT Technologist experience
- Valid Radiology license; ARRT certification preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Critical thinking, good communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English, PC skills, and reading instructions
- Physical ability to move and position equipment and patients
- Ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail
- Visual acuity and effective communication skills
