Part-Time Travel CT Technologist

About the Role

A Travel CT Tech operates CT scanners to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images, preparing and positioning patients, following safety protocols, and collaborating with radiologists for accurate diagnosis. They maintain equipment, document procedures, and ensure high-quality imaging services.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to generate images of bones, organs, and tissues
• Prepare and explain procedures to patients, ensuring safety and comfort
• Adjust technical settings for optimal imaging
• Provide images for radiologist interpretation
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues
• Follow safety standards to minimize radiation exposure
• Accurately document patient and procedural information
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for timely diagnostics
• Adapt to different protocols and equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and other assigned duties

Requirements

• One year of recent CT Technologist experience
• Valid Radiology license; ARRT certification preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Critical thinking, good communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in English, PC skills, and reading instructions
• Physical ability to move and position equipment and patients
• Ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail
• Visual acuity and effective communication skills
