About the role
A Travel CT Tech is responsible for operating CT scanners, preparing and positioning patients, ensuring high-quality imaging, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to support diagnostic procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to produce diagnostic images
- Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures
- Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment
- Document patient and procedural information accurately
- Work closely with radiologists for image quality and diagnosis
- Perform routine troubleshooting and equipment maintenance
- Adhere to safety standards to minimize radiation exposure
- Provide compassionate patient care and adapt to different protocols
Requirements
- One year of recent CT technologist experience
- Valid radiology license and current BLS certification
- Preferred ARRT certification and other relevant licenses
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to move and position equipment and patients
- Proficiency in reading instructions and PC skills
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
- Effective visual and communication skills
