Part-Time Travel CT Technologist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to operate CT scanners for diagnostic imaging in a healthcare facility. This role involves preparing and positioning patients, following imaging protocols, maintaining equipment, documenting procedures, and collaborating with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to produce diagnostic images of bones, organs, and tissues
• Prepare and explain procedures to patients, ensuring safety and comfort
• Set technical parameters for accurate imaging
• Ensure safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment
• Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with medical staff
• Adapt to different CT protocols and equipment
• Perform additional duties within the scope of practice
• Adhere to safety standards and provide compassionate patient care

Requirements

• At least one year of recent CT Technologist experience
• Valid Radiology license in accordance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Skills

• Current ARRT Certification
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to move and position equipment and patients
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and follow instructions
• Proficiency in PC skills and understanding of safety procedures
