About the Role

A Travel CT Tech operates CT scanners to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images, prepares and positions patients, follows safety protocols, maintains equipment, and collaborates with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging services.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT equipment to capture detailed images of bones, organs, and tissues
  • Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures and ensuring safety
  • Set technical parameters for accurate imaging
  • Provide high-quality images for radiologist interpretation
  • Adhere to radiation safety and hospital policies
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment
  • Document patient and procedural information accurately
  • Collaborate with medical staff to deliver timely diagnostic services
  • Adapt to various CT equipment and protocols
  • Perform additional duties within CT Tech scope as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of recent CT technologist experience
  • Valid Radiology license per state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
  • Preferred ARRT Certification
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and PC use
  • Physical ability to move equipment and remain stationary
  • Effective teamwork and professionalism
  • Ability to handle pressure, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • Visual acuity and effective communication skills
