About the Role
A Travel CT Tech operates CT scanners to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images, prepares and positions patients, follows safety protocols, maintains equipment, and collaborates with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging services.
Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to capture detailed images of bones, organs, and tissues
- Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures and ensuring safety
- Set technical parameters for accurate imaging
- Provide high-quality images for radiologist interpretation
- Adhere to radiation safety and hospital policies
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment
- Document patient and procedural information accurately
- Collaborate with medical staff to deliver timely diagnostic services
- Adapt to various CT equipment and protocols
- Perform additional duties within CT Tech scope as needed
Requirements
- Minimum one year of recent CT technologist experience
- Valid Radiology license per state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Preferred ARRT Certification
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and PC use
- Physical ability to move equipment and remain stationary
- Effective teamwork and professionalism
- Ability to handle pressure, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Visual acuity and effective communication skills
