About the Role
The Travel CT Tech operates CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes. They prepare and position patients, follow imaging protocols, maintain equipment, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure high-quality images. The role involves adhering to safety standards, documenting procedures, and providing compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities
- Operating CT equipment to capture diagnostic images
- Preparing and explaining procedures to patients
- Setting technical parameters for accurate imaging
- Ensuring safety and safety protocol compliance
- Performing routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Documenting patient and procedural data accurately
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals for timely diagnostics
- Adapting to various CT equipment and protocols
Requirements
- Minimum of one year recent CT technologist experience
- Valid Radiology license; ARRT certification preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Critical thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Physical ability to move and position equipment and patients
- Proficiency in reading instructions, PC skills, and visual acuity
- Ability to work under pressure, handle irregular schedules, and maintain professionalism
