Role Overview
A Travel CT Tech operates advanced CT scanners to produce diagnostic images, prepares and positions patients, follows safety protocols, maintains equipment, and collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to capture cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissues.
- Prepare and explain procedures to patients, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Adjust technical parameters for optimal imaging quality.
- Maintain equipment functionality and troubleshoot issues.
- Accurately document patient data and procedural details.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic services.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum one year of recent CT technologist experience.
- Valid Radiology license per state regulations.
- Current BLS certification; ARRT certification preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to handle equipment and assist with procedures.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to different protocols.
