Part-Time Trash Valet Porter – Evenings Only – South Ogden

About the role

WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring Part‑Time Valet Porters in the South Ogden area. Shifts are short evening runs (1–2 hours) Monday‑Friday, starting around 6:30 or 7:00 PM, with no weekend work. You’ll be home by 10 PM each night, can start the same week you’re hired, and receive on‑the‑job training. The role is ideal for students, second‑job seekers, or anyone looking for extra income around an existing schedule, offering independent work, a consistent route, and predictable hours.

Responsibilities

• Walk your assigned apartment community each evening and collect bagged trash, recycling, and cardboard from residents’ doors.
• Transport materials to the onsite dumpster, chute, or compactor.
• Separate recycling, check for contamination, and clean up loose trash in common areas.
• Check‑in and check‑out via a mobile app: document your route, upload photos, and leave courtesy notices when needed.
• Occasionally assist with pet waste station servicing.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older with a valid Utah driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Smartphone with an active data plan and location services required.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Reliable, professional, and self‑motivated.
• A personal open‑bed pickup truck is required for sites that pay $25/hour; otherwise not required.
• Ability to walk extensively, ascend/descend stairs, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Pay

$20/hour at standard sites. $25/hour at sites that require use of a personal open‑bed pickup truck.

Schedule

Monday through Friday evenings only. Typical start time is 6:30 or 7:00 PM with shifts lasting 1–2 hours. Shift length may vary slightly based on resident participation, property size, or seasonal factors. No weekends required.
