The role of a Teller at Santander involves engaging in various financial needs and processing transactions. Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and minimize wait times.
- Process transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
- Handle cash and maintain accurate cash drawer balances.
- Adhere to all bank policies and procedures, including compliance and risk management protocols.
- Identify and escalate concerns of risk to appropriate channels.
- Follow directions, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate effectively and listen actively.
- Leverage digital tools to educate customers on self-service options.
- Aid with custodianship, audits, and other operational tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support nearby branch locations based on business necessity.
Qualifications
- 6+ Months Cash Handling experience
- 6+ Months Demonstrated customer service experience
- Bilingual Portuguese and/or Spanish language skills (Preferred)
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others
- Ability to identify and escalate concerns of risk to appropriate channels
- Effective listening and communication skills
- Comfortable in using digital tools and technology to enhance customer engagement
- Energetic, organized, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Understands the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail
- Computer proficiency and basic math skills
- Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings
What You Bring
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education
- Preferred experience in Microsoft Office products
Pay
The base pay range for this position is $30,000.00 USD to $47,000.00 USD annually.
Schedule
Branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings.
