About the role

The role of a Teller at Santander involves engaging in various financial needs and processing transactions. The primary responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, resolving concerns, minimizing risk, defending against fraud, referring product solutions, and escalating complex issues for timely resolution.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and minimize wait times.
• Process transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
• Handle cash and maintain accurate cash drawer balances.
• Adhere to all bank policies and procedures, including compliance and risk management protocols.
• Identify and escalate concerns of risk to appropriate channels.
• Follow directions, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate effectively and listen actively.
• Leverage digital tools to educate customers on self-service options.
• Aid with custodianship, audits, and other operational tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Support nearby branch locations based on business necessity.

Qualifications

• 6+ Months Cash Handling experience
• 6+ Months Demonstrated customer service experience
• Bilingual Portuguese and/or Spanish language skills (Preferred)
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others
• Ability to identify and escalate concerns of risk to appropriate channels
• Effective listening and communication skills
• Comfortable in using digital tools and technology to enhance customer engagement
• Energetic, organized, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Understands the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail
• Computer proficiency and basic math skills
• Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings

What You Bring

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education
• Preferred experience in Microsoft Office products

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $30,000.00 USD to $47,000.00 USD annually.

Schedule

Branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings.
