About the role

As a Teller at ChoiceOne Bank, you will play a vital role in the customer banking experience, serving as the face of the bank by providing world-class customer service through accurate and efficient transaction handling. You will interact daily with customers, identify opportunities to grow the bank’s services, and connect customers with bankers for additional financial solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Follow bank policies, procedures, and customer service standards
  • Operate the teller window in accordance with bank policy and balance daily transactions
  • Meet and exceed teller sales and referral goals
  • Process cash and non-cash transactions accurately, efficiently, and with confidentiality
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking products, financial services, and technology
  • Develop relationships with clients and ensure awareness of available services
  • Recognize client needs and make referrals to bankers
  • Perform miscellaneous duties such as night deposits, ATM balancing and service, re-ordering and stocking supplies, and answering phones
  • Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act; report any observed violations or potential violations to a supervisor
  • Comply with all federal and state banking regulations as applicable

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 months cash handling experience preferred
