Part-Time Teller

About the role

This position involves providing quality customer service by processing daily financial transactions in a retail banking setting, often serving as the first point of contact. It includes handling cash, processing deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and miscellaneous transactions while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with security policies. The role emphasizes developing and maintaining profitable client relationships through product referrals and cross‑selling bank services, ensuring excellent client experiences, and resolving issues promptly. It requires identifying sales opportunities, promoting bank products, and adhering to regulatory standards and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage cash drawer and process various financial transactions accurately.
• Assist with ATM balancing, deposit verification, and vault responsibilities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve client issues effectively.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and promote bank products and services.
• Maintain compliance with all operational policies, risk management, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 6 months cash handling or teller experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, 10‑key calculator, and coin‑counting equipment.
• Willingness to travel within multiple banking centers in the market.
