Part time - Technician I Labs - Exposures Lab
Responsibilities
- Perform basic laboratory tasks (i.e. making batch water, distributing and tracking samples, laboratory housekeeping/maintenance, and preparing or pre-treating samples).
- Perform all applicable corporate and laboratory quality control procedures and policies.
- Perform exposure/prep methods for varied product types.
- Prepare all records (electronic data, folders and forms) in a timely, thorough and neat manner.
- Use the laboratory information systems and sample tracking procedures, as applicable.
- Work with various chemicals, solvents, acids, and bases using MSDSs.
- Participate in rotation of work schedules.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Adhere to the safety and health policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to organize work and maintain work flow with minimal direction
- Able to work a minimum of 24 hours a week
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a physical science or equivalent laboratory experience
- Good organization skills and the ability to follow written and verbal directions
- Familiarity with quality procedures
- Familiarity with general laboratory equipment and procedures
About the Role
This role is to perform laboratory procedures in an accurate and timely manner and continue to expand skill base while under supervision. Depending on the circumstance, potential for flexible schedules and/or part-time if someone is in school obtaining their degree and would like this experience.
