The Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center is seeking a Technical Service Farm Operations Worker to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the farm, equipment, and facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for horses, riders, and programs.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Mow fields and maintain grounds
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on tractor
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on gator/utility vehicle
  • Repair and maintain fencing as needed
  • Maintain and repair automatic waterers
  • Replace light bulbs and perform minor electrical upkeep
  • Drag and maintain three riding arenas
  • Drag and maintain turn-out fields
  • Troubleshoot and repair general facility issues as they arise
  • Auxiliary duties as assigned by the Stable Manager, Program Director, or 4-H Youth Development Educator

Background Checks/Clearances

  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
  • Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check

This position requires the operation of a motor vehicle as part of job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
