St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church and School in Medford serves approximately 350 students in PreK through 8th grade. This part-time teaching assistant position runs for the 2026–2027 school year and requires experience working with young children.
Responsibilities
- Support students in the classroom with reading, writing, and math skills
- Assist teachers in implementing educational practices including hands-on learning, differentiated instruction, and constructivist learning approaches
- Supervise students during lunch and recess periods
Requirements
- Experience working with young children
- Understanding of and ability to support hands-on learning, differentiated instruction, and constructivist learning practices
- Commitment to Catholic education
- Enjoyment of working with children
- Successful completion of fingerprint/background check
- Completion of VIRTUS Training
Pay
Minimum $18 per hour.
Schedule
Daily hours on all full school days: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
