Part-time Teaching Assistant

About The Role

We are looking for a compassionate and energetic Part-Time Teaching Assistant to support our infant through 6-year-old mixed-age classroom. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with children of all ages and is excited to assist in a Montessori-inspired setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Aid the Lead Teacher in maintaining a calm, engaging, and organized classroom
• Help guide children through daily activities and routines
• Support classroom organization and preparation of materials
• Encourage positive social interactions and model respectful behavior
• Engage with children in hands-on learning experiences, both indoors and outdoors
• Observe and support children as they explore and develop independence

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years old
• Passion for working with young children in a nurturing environment
• Ability to multitask and adapt to different age groups throughout the day
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to learn Montessori methods and philosophies
• KDHE Foundations of Health and Safety Course (Training provided)
• CPR & First Aid Certification (Training provided)
