Part-Time Teacher

About the role

The Goddard School is seeking part-time Assistant Teachers for their preschool located on Wilmington's beautiful riverfront. Positions are available at the end of the day throughout the school year, with the potential to transition into full-time roles.

Responsibilities

• Lovingly engage children in activities such as finger painting, blowing bubbles, and storytelling with puppets and props.
• Create a warm and welcoming environment where children feel known, valued, and supported.
• Implement the Early Learning Foundations for the State of Delaware and The Delaware STARS quality improvement process.
• Utilize technology regularly in the classroom to enhance learning experiences.
• Contribute to a nurturing and supportive environment that aligns with state and national standards.

Requirements

• A minimum associate’s degree, TECE 1 and/or TECE 2, or CDA credential.
• At least 6 months of experience in an early childhood classroom.
• A Delaware Department of Education/DE First Certificate.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with the Early Learning Foundations for the State of Delaware and The Delaware STARS quality improvement process.
• Comfortable with and proficiency in using technology in the classroom.
• A nurturing teaching style, teamwork, and a commitment to professional development in early childhood education.
