Part-Time Surgical Tech

Responsibilities

• Assist in all types of operating procedures by handling surgical instruments, sutures, and sponges, maintaining aseptic technique, and anticipating surgeons' needs.
• Prepare for scheduled surgeries by ensuring availability of equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Maintain a sterile and safe OR environment, clean rooms, sterilize equipment, and restock supplies.
• Assist with patient transportation, verification, and positioning for surgeries.
• Support as second circulator under RN supervision, contribute to department policies, and participate in training and evaluations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with successful completion of an accredited surgical technician program or equivalent training/experience.
• Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists is highly desirable.
• 1-2 years of surgical technician experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 5 lbs.
• Call commitment required.
