About the role

Seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant – Oral Surgery / Surgical Assistant to support oral surgeons in a fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities include assisting during surgical procedures, ensuring sterile conditions, documenting patient care, obtaining radiographs, and managing advanced equipment. The role requires active participation in preoperative tasks, monitoring patient status, and collaborating with surgeons on strategic discussions.

Responsibilities

• Assist during oral surgery procedures with precision
• Maintain sterile environments and document patient care meticulously
• Obtain radiographs and operate advanced dental equipment
• Participate in patient monitoring and preoperative preparations
• Collaborate with the surgical team and engage in strategic discussions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS certification (or completed within 1 month of hire)
• Strong teamwork, critical thinking, and independent work skills
• Exceptional attention to safety, detail, and manual dexterity
• Basic computer proficiency and excellent listening skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous oral surgery experience
• Dental Assistant certification (DAANCE preferred)
• Radiology certification
• Licensed dental assistant status
