Role Overview
Provide compassionate support in a trauma-informed, gender-specific residential treatment program for adult women, including those with infants up to 3 months old. Support residents' recovery by creating a safe, structured environment that encourages independence and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer support, supervision, and positive role modeling for residents
- Assist with medication monitoring and administration
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks
- Support residents with daily living skills and treatment goals
- Respond effectively to emergencies and crisis situations
- Transport residents to appointments and community resources
- Collect urine samples and administer breathalyzer tests as needed
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in human services, behavioral health, or substance use recovery preferred
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards diverse populations
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record
Additional Details
- DHS 83 training preferred or completed post-hire
- Local travel may be required (approximately 25–50%) based on program needs
