Part Time - Student (Undergraduate) - Engagement Worker

About the role

The Office of Student Engagement within the Division of Student Affairs invites applications for an undergraduate student part-time position supporting office operations and co-curricular events.

Job Duties

• Provide support and leadership organizing and implementing co-curricular opportunities for the diverse student community, including Welcome Week, Fall Fest, Spring Fling, Nittany Excellence Gala, De-Stress Fest, Leadership Symposium, NSO, and other events
• Provide daytime front desk support, including posting flyers, managing lost & found, answering phones, greeting guests, and handling living room game & equipment sign-out
• Provide evening activities monitor support in the SEC living room, monitoring game & equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned based on evolving office needs

Requirements and qualifications

• Must be a current or incoming Penn State Harrisburg student in good disciplinary standing with the University
• Team player and self-starter who demonstrates preemptive thinking
• Extreme attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel
• Proficiency in management of social media platforms

Pay

$15.00/hr., 10-15 hours per week.
