Part-Time Student Office Assistant, Office of Student Conduct
About the role
The Part-Time Student Office Assistant assists with administrative projects and student record management while communicating regularly with university staff and external partners.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Processes and completes dean’s form requests.
- Works within the Maxient system including file management.
- Completes records checks for departments and organizations.
- Supports the Executive Administrative Assistant, Office Services Assistant, Receptionists, and other individuals in the office with special projects, as needed.
- Aids in covering the front desk by answering phone calls, greeting all OSC visitors, and providing general office information.
- Might assist with other Conduct processes, as needed.
Education Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University Bloomington.
Work Experience Requirements
- Some Office experience.
Skills Required
- Maintain confidentiality while adhering to university, state, and federal privacy regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detailed work, and ability to produce and/or edit work to an excellent quality.
- Ability to work in a busy office environment that supports students.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students and administrators at all levels.
- Proficient computing skills with experience using Windows including Excel and Outlook.

Location and Schedule
- Bloomington, Indiana.
- In-person position.
- $14.25 per hour.
- 10-12 hours per week, no more than 29 hours per week across all IU jobs.
- Shifts will be scheduled during office hours, Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
