Part-Time Student Life & Intramural Activities Worker
Position Summary Information
The Part-Time Student Life & Intramural Activities Employee is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising evening student life programming with a primary focus on intramural sports and student engagement activities, under the direct supervision of the Student Life Coordinator. This position plays a critical role in fostering a vibrant campus community by providing safe, inclusive, and engaging opportunities for students outside of traditional class hours. This is a 9-month position: August-May
Required Education
HS diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience
- Experience in event planning, recreation, athletics, or student activities
- Availability to work evenings and occasional weekends
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Experience with intramural sports or officiating
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Evening Program Management Plan, implement, and oversee evening student life events and activities
- Ensure consistent, high-quality programming that promotes student engagement and campus involvement
- Serve as the on-site lead for evening operations, including event setup, execution, and breakdown
- Intramural Sports Coordination
- Organize and manage intramural sports leagues, tournaments, and open recreation
- Develop schedules, rules, and team registration processes
- Officiate games or supervise student officials as needed
- Maintain equipment inventory and ensure proper use and storage
- Student Engagement & Support
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students
- Build relationships with students to encourage participation and leadership
- Assist in recruiting and supervising student workers or volunteers
- Facility & Risk Management
- Monitor activity spaces to ensure safety and adherence to college policies
- Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with institutional procedures
- Coordinate facility usage for evening programs and intramural activities
- Administrative Duties
- Track attendance and participation data for reporting purposes
- Affiliate with marketing and promotion of events (social media, flyers, etc.)
- Provide feedback and recommendations for program improvement
