About the role
This Part-Time Student Program is designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff for students who work in parallel to their school schedule year-round. As a Part-Time Student in Cab Engineering for John Deere Dubuque Works, located in Dubuque, Iowa, you will support current assembly operations and participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Provide support and basic troubleshooting for current assembly operations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Participate in developmental assignments to gain manufacturing experience.
Relocation assistance is not provided. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree related to mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or manufacturing technology; others may apply.
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a local U.S. accredited college/university.
- Graduation date of May 2027 or later.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
- Available to work 16-20 hours during the academic year.
- Available to work 30-40 hours during the summer semester.
- Must be able to commute to the work location in Dubuque, IA on a regular basis.
- Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Pay
$15 - $40 hourly based on published rates for business function and education level.
