About the role
The Standards & Compliance Specialist serves as the eyes and ears of the Food & Beverage Standards & Compliance department during live events. Specialists are deployed across all F&B areas including kitchens, concessions, premium spaces/suites, commissary, and warehouse, to conduct real-time inspections and ensure operations consistently meet established benchmarks for food quality, sanitation, accuracy, and guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assigned inspections across all F&B areas including kitchens, concessions, premium spaces/suites, commissary, and warehouse; document all findings with accuracy and objectivity
- Evaluate operations against defined standards including food quality, preparation & presentation, sanitation, menu accuracy, pricing, and operational readiness
- Identify and flag non-compliant conditions, unsafe practices, or quality deficiencies to the Leadership and Supervisors in real time without disrupting live operations. Submit complete inspection documentation prior to ending shift
- Operate as an on-the-ground compliance presence throughout the duration of assigned events
- Conduct real-time observation of food quality, service accuracy, and cleanliness during pre-event setup, peak service, and post-event breakdown
- Cover all assigned zones systematically throughout the event; maintain awareness of evolving conditions across multiple areas
- Maintain detailed, factual event-day records that can be used for trend analysis, follow-up, and accountability tracking
- Maintain a neutral, non-confrontational, and professional posture when conducting inspections and interacting with operational staff
- Represent the Standards & Compliance department with integrity, consistency, and discretion at all times
- Communicate respectfully and constructively with F&B staff across kitchens, concessions, and premium environments
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food & beverage, hospitality, concessions, or venue/event operations preferred
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, concessions, or premium service environments a plus
- Background in quality control, compliance, auditing, or operational observation strongly preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify non-compliance conditions quickly and accurately
- Proficiency in written documentation; ability to produce clear, factual, and concise inspection records
- Ability to remain objective, composed, and professional in fast-paced, high-pressure, live-event settings
- Comfortable using mobile devices, tablets, or digital tools for real-time documentation and reporting
- Must have flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as the event schedule dictates. 75% availability required each month for all events
- Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate stairs for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in varying environments including kitchens, loading docks, concession areas, and premium suites
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
Pay
$17.00 per hour
