About the role
This position is an on-campus, part-time, between 19 and 27.5 hours per week appointment based in Champaign, Illinois. Applications accepted until the position is filled.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the administration of policies, procedures, records, documentation, communications, and training activities related to Department of Transportation (DOT) and Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) compliance.
- Support the college's compliance with ADA, Workers Compensation Laws, and OSHA by conducting intake meetings for ADA and Workers Compensation matters and maintaining related documentation and records.
- Coordinate with worker’s compensation insurance provider and track follow-up actions and required documentation.
- Aid in Safety Data Sheet (SDS) audits, Hazard Communication Plan updates, and related OSHA documentation and recordkeeping activities.
- Assist with investigations of allegations of violations of policies and laws covering Title IX, EEO, VAWA, Student Conduct, ADA, and OSHA by acting as a note-taker and providing logistical support during meetings with complainants, respondent(s), and witnesses.
- Document and verify interview notes, maintain confidentiality of investigation, organize investigation records, assist with report preparation, and document management.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and assisting with Compliance Office tasks in all other functions.
Requirements
- A minimum of an Associate’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment criminal background check with fingerprinting.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and time management skills; ability to be flexible and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational, records management, and document-tracking skills; ability to maintain confidential records and sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to learn and apply compliance-related procedures, regulations, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Experience supporting administrative, compliance, human resources, legal, or case management functions is preferred.
