PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The Part-Time Specialist IV, Health Occupations supports other staff by performing task oriented duties while providing clerical, analytical, administrative, and operational support under general supervision. Provides a high level of coordination, support, and documentation of Health Occupations information across multiple departments/colleges.

Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinates general operations of the Office of Agreements and Program Admissions including Health Occupations
  • Processes OnBase documents for Health Occupations and automated on-line applications for various health occupation programs including verifying information, creating files, and creating spreadsheets with confidential student information
  • Serves as the resource person for program directors, faculty and students concerning health occupation applications
  • Develops and maintains accurate databases of area activities for strategic planning and reporting
  • Organizes/coordinates meetings for department in the area of Health Occupations
  • Captures and coordinates travel plans and schedule meetings and special events for leadership
  • Maintains inventory of supplies; prepares and processes requisitions
  • Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

  • Ability to use software products, including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheets, and database packages
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Ability to document and track expenses
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer-relations skills

Physical Abilities

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

Work Schedule And Conditions

  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

Required Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED and at least 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $16.33
