Part Time - Special Education Therapy Assistant
About the role
The Special Education Therapy Assistant has the opportunity to develop skills as they work one-on-one with children with autism ages 2 - 3, under the supervision and support of a Special Education Teacher. You will be trained by a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) and learn from clinicians in Speech and Occupational Therapy.
Responsibilities
- Develop skills working one-on-one with children with autism ages 2 - 3
- Work under the supervision of a Special Education Teacher
- Learn from clinicians in Speech and Occupational Therapy
- Grow in the field of Early Childhood, Special Education, ABA, Speech and Occupational Therapy
- Build the foundation of your career in Early Childcare, Special Education, Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy or the healthcare industry
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to work entire shift Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm
- Able to lift 40 lbs and monitor the safety of a child
- Able to provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination

The McCarton Foundation is a non-profit organization on a mission to bring exceptional treatment and services to children with autism and other developmental disabilities. We believe in the ability that exists within every child and that all children deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential.
In Fall 2018, the McCarton Foundation opened our Bronx Center - an Early Intervention agency providing center-based and home-based services in ABA, Speech, Physical and Occupational Therapies to young children at no cost to families.
