Part-Time Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027School Year

This position requires an Arizona “Mild/Moderate Disabilities, K-12” Special Education certificate at the time of hire. Certification in both Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe Disabilities is preferred.

About the role

Orange Grove Middle School is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year on a part-time basis (0.50 FTE).

Responsibilities

• Teach students with mild to moderate disabilities in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• Implement structured English immersion (SEI) teaching methods as required by the district.
• Collaborate with other special education teachers, general education teachers, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction as necessary to meet individual needs.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• A current Arizona “Mild/Moderate Disabilities, K-12” Special Education certificate.
• Certification in both Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe Disabilities is preferred.
• A full Structured English Immersion (SEI) endorsement within one year of hire.
