About the role
This free charter school in Ogden is now accepting applications for a part-time Special Education Paraprofessional.
Responsibilities
- Work under direction of a certified teacher
- Support students in specific core subjects including reading, math, science, and social studies
- Provide teaching support based on the research-based model
- Engage in activities that foster confidence and leadership among students
Requirements
- Pass the PRAXIS exam, or have an associate's degree (or equivalent credits towards a bachelor's degree)
- Previous experience with student behavior is preferred
Qualifications
- Strong background in specific core subjects including reading, math, science, and social studies
Skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with certified teachers
- Knowledge of the research-based model for education
- Experience with supporting students' academic and behavioral needs
