Part Time Service Technician (Ridgeville)
About the role
Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Part Time Service Technician. This position will perform client facility walk-throughs, audits, and inspections. When maintenance is needed, the technician will report to the Service Manager for further instructions. This is a long-term, part-time position requiring regular visits to client facilities or availability for several hours each day.
Key Duties
- Responsible for daily and weekly refrigeration inspections and provide basic maintenance support to industrial accounts in food and beverage and refrigerated storage equipment ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
- Ability to visually inspect and report findings for all plant refrigeration equipment to both the customer and service manager.
- Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures and governing requirements.
- All other duties as assigned by the service manager.
Requirements
- Must be a high school graduate or have attained a GED, HVAC tech school preferred.
- Minimum of 1+ years of industrial HVAC experience preferred but not required (training may be available).
- Universal EPA certification preferred.

Job Details

- This part-time role requires 2-3 hours per day, Monday through Friday, scheduled within the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., for a total of 10 hours per week.
Qualifications
- Must be a high school graduate or have attained a GED, HVAC tech school preferred.

Physical Demands
- Requires working in very hot (above 100F) or very cold (below 10F) temperatures and the ability to wear all required safety PPE in these conditions.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Ability to climb 40 foot extension ladders and work on all types of ladders.
- Ability to see and hear industrial equipment as it moves around the jobsite.
- Requires face-to-face communication and contact with others (face-to-face, telephone, email, or otherwise).
