Part Time Service Technician (Canton, MI)

About the role

A Part-Time Service Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and support of industrial refrigeration equipment for our valued customers. A working knowledge of commercial and industrial refrigeration and electrical controls is required to be successful in this role. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule (1 4-hour shift per week between 7AM-6PM) and can be easily worked around another job. It is a long-term, permanent position based on client contracts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine daily, weekly, and monthly mechanical integrity inspections at client facilities.
• Regularly report inspection findings to the Service Manager.
• Accurately input inspection results into the system using a computer.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED; HVAC tech school preferred.
• Universal EPA certification OR ability to obtain.
• Excellent physical condition: ability to climb ladders, lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly (75 pounds occasionally), stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise).
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive motions and remain on feet for most of the shift.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening, felony screening, and motor vehicle record screening.
• Company is a tobacco-free workplace; no tobacco products allowed during the workday on job sites.

Pay

$25-30/hour, dependent on experience.
