Part Time Service Technician (Allentown)

About the role

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Part Time Service Technician. This position will perform client facility walk-throughs, audits, and inspections. If maintenance is needed, the technician will report to the Service Manager for further instructions. This is a long-term, part-time position requiring regular visits to client facilities or availability for several hours each day.

Key Duties

• Responsible for daily and weekly refrigeration inspections and provide basic maintenance support to industrial accounts in food and beverage and refrigerated storage equipment ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
• Ability to visually inspect and report findings for all plant refrigeration equipment to both the customer and service manager.
• Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements.
• All other duties as assigned by the service manager.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent (GED), HVAC tech school preferred.
• Minimum of 1+ years of industrial HVAC experience preferred but not required (training may be available).
• Universal EPA certification preferred.

Position Details

• Daylight shift
• Job Security: Long-term, permanent position (based on client contract)
• Flexible schedule, can be easily worked around another job
• Approximately 10-15 hours per week

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or have attained a GED, HVAC tech school preferred.
• Minimum of 1+ years of industrial HVAC experience preferred but not required (training may be available).
• Universal EPA certification preferred.

Application Process

As a representative of the company, individuals should be well groomed and professional. They must be capable of climbing 40-foot extension ladders and working on all types of ladders. They need to see and hear industrial equipment as it moves around the jobsite and require face-to-face communication and contact with others (face-to-face, telephone, email, or otherwise). Capable of lifting 50 lbs., they must also be able to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods of time. The position requires working in very hot (above 100°F) or very cold (below 10°F) temperatures and the ability to wear all required safety PPE in these conditions.
