Pay

Part‑time Server – $20 to $24 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Part‑time position with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional dining service by taking accurate food orders and serving appealing meals to residents, family members, and guests.
• Uphold table etiquette: serve from the left, clear dishes between courses, and reset tables for subsequent service.
• Engage with residents courteously, assist with menu selections, and attend to dining needs.
• Review and adhere to residents' dietary restrictions and preferences as outlined in care plans.
• Track resident meal attendance and communicate absences for safety checks.
• Greet and seat residents promptly, with special attention to new residents.
• Deliver meals to and retrieve trays from residents’ rooms for room service.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary dining area and fully comply with food safety protocols.
• Clean, set up, and reset tables; return dishes to the kitchen; fold napkins; restock dining supplies and inventory.
• Assist with breaking down deliveries, putting away stock, and washing dishes as needed.
• Support community marketing efforts through positive interactions and adherence to grooming and dress standards.
• Cooperate with other kitchen and dining staff to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Report safety or equipment issues promptly to the Supervisor.
• Maintain a safe environment following established safety policies and procedures.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
• Promote teamwork and open communication through mentoring, coaching, and recognition programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) highly preferred.

Experience Requirements: Exposure to restaurant operations or the ability to learn.

Competencies / Licenses / Certifications:

• Must be 18 years or older (or have proper work permit and authorization).
• Complete required background clearances, health screening, and provide a negative TB test within 7 days (must be within the last 6 months).
• Basic counting skills for tracking meals/residents.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken, written, reading).
• Ability to operate standard serving equipment (salad bar, heating cart, trays, etc.).
• Professional demeanor with residents, families, guests, vendors, and the public.
• Maintain state‑specific regulatory requirements, such as Food Handler Certification.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Mobile and able to stand for prolonged periods, walk, bend, kneel, squat, pull, reach overhead, and perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb and push up to 250 lb as necessary.
