Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional dining service by taking accurate food orders and serving appetizing meals.
• Uphold high standards of table etiquette and assist with resident meal and menu selections.
• Engage with residents in a friendly manner, addressing their dining needs.
• Track resident meal attendance and communicate with relevant team members.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting and seating residents promptly.
• Deliver meals to and retrieve trays from residents' rooms, as required.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary dining area, including setting up and resetting tables.
• Clean the dining area, return dishes to the kitchen, and manage dining supplies.
• Aid in community marketing efforts through positive interactions and following grooming standards.
• Support other kitchen and dining services to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Promptly report any safety or equipment issues to the Supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
• Lead with teamwork and open communication, utilizing mentoring, coaching, and recognition programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED), highly preferred.
• Exposure to restaurant operations or the ability to learn.
• Must be 18 years or older or have proper work permit and authorization documentation.
• Complete required Background clearances, health screening, and provide negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (must be within the last 6 months).
• Basic counting skills as required by the position.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, write, understand, and read English.
• Ability to operate standard serving equipment and deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, guests, vendors, and the public.
• Meet and maintain all state-specific regulatory requirements, such as Food Handler Certification.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Must be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including standing for prolonged periods, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, pulling, reaching overhead, and repetitive motion.
• Able to move intermittently throughout the workday and in the community.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and push up to 250 pounds, as necessary.

Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED), highly preferred.
