About the role

This position is part time, 20 hours per week, based in Morrisville, NC.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and strategic guidance to business units and functions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while supporting the organization’s goals and mitigating legal risks.
  • Draft, negotiate and review a wide range of contracts.
  • Establish and improve templates, standards and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Maintain, improve and protect intellectual property rights.
  • Handle litigation cases.
  • Select, instruct and supervise external counsels.
  • Conduct internal training and workshops on legal topics.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively use applications like Word, Excel, OneDrive and SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding relevant laws, regulations, and legal principles.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal risks to protect the organization.
  • Ability to develop and implement legal strategies that align with the organization's goals.
  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey legal advice.

Qualifications

  • University degree (Master of Law or equal).
  • Bar Admission.
  • 6-10 years experience, preferably in an international company in the ICT sector or in an international commercial law firm.
