Duties And Responsibilities
- Answer Box Office phones and provide positive customer service experiences to all patrons during NWS and other performances as assigned
- Handle ticket sales and any other patron transactions at the Box Office window
- Process ticket orders in the Tessitura database according to set standards
- Provide customer service at NWS and other performances assigned
- Participate in outbound phone campaigns as assigned by Director and/or Box Office Manager
- Perform basic data input projects as assigned by Director and/or Box Office Manager
- Respond to VIP, Subscriber, and patron inquires
- Maintain general Box Office email inbox and voicemail
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one year customer service experience, preferably in a box office setting
- Interest in orchestral music and/or music education
- Fluency in English required; fluency in Spanish preferred
- Some database and/or ticketing software experience; Tessitura experience preferred
- Ability to work onsite at New World Center
- Ability to remain calm during challenging situations and to diffuse difficult interactions with courtesy and professionalism
- Ability to interact positively and sensitively with a wide variety of personalities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Superior time management and prioritization skills
- High degree of organization and attention to detail
- A collaborative and team-focused work style
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Excellent decision making and conflict resolution skills
